Jungleight opened in 2023 on a jungle slope in Tegallalang, about 20 minutes north of central Ubud and a short ride from the famous rice terraces. The Nest is its one-bedroom bamboo treehouse: a woven, curved build facing the Ubud valley, with the canopy right outside the bed. Because it is a small resort rather than a lone villa you get backup — an on-site restaurant doing decent Indonesian food, pools, sunrise yoga, guided forest walks down to the river, and a 24-hour desk that arranges scooters and tours. That makes it the easiest of Bali's bamboo stays to do without your own transport, though a scooter still helps for Ubud dinners. The trade-off is neighbours: other bamboo villas share the slope, so it is less hermit-like than the East Bali houses. Around $400 a night, couples-oriented, and the valley view at dawn is the money shot.
